Okay so, for starters I normally work on record players this is my first jukebox I’ve ever worked on and so far I’d like to think I’ve done pretty solid. I got a Wurlitzer 3010 and a Rockola 484 for $200 both non working. I ran into a major roadblock with the Wurlitzer, as of right now when I press the buttons to make a selection every once in a while it’ll work, rarely. Even then my selection system is not on, I have to manually pull the lever in the back to make it select I am unable to figure out why. I checked all the fuses and replaced them with all new ones today just in case and still no difference alongside I’ve cleaned every unit with IPA and manually scrubbed them, I even resoldered some connections as someone who had worked on it previously did a shoddy job, it was llast worked on in 82’. I noticed the LP unit has a few capacitors that definitely need to be replaced, the relays are fine so I’m suspecting it has to do with those capacitors. I am getting new ones in the mail today so I will update as soon as possible.

I’ve got a Wurlitzer 3010 that’s got a few issues. As of right now the selection system doesn’t work at all or light up even manually, I replace the fuse and it blows as soon as the buttons activate. After it activates it clicks but rarely ever makes a selection and even if the carousel moves to select a record it never selects one. If done manually everything works but the tone arm never returns when the record is done. I’ve been replacing capacitor after capacitor and none of it gets worse or better besides the 5 amp fuse now blowing. I also noticed every relay except relay 4 does not trip manually, not sure how to fix that or what to look for any advice is more than helpful.

I combined these two posts, don't need multiple posts for the same issues.
I've been reading and re-reading your post, and quite frankly I can't make heads or tails about what you mean.
Do you have a service manual?
I would suggest taking the time to familiarize yourself with the basic operation of your machine.

Help everybody, my name is Logan I am extremely new to Jukeboxes, I started with record players and thought Jukeboxes would be a fun challenge. So far I was right but now I am backed into a corner and not sure what to look for. For starters I got my Wurlitzer 3010 that’s been sitting for 9 years for about $100 it didn’t really do anything besides turn on. I’ve gotten it to a point where 90% of contacts are clean, fuses are replaced, the mechanism is functioning properly and I managed to fix a leaf switch inside the amp that controls the carousel. Once I had fixed that switch I ran into a major issue, when cycling the mechanism the cycle no longer moves over one it just spins endlessly. Weird but I kept digging, at some point I had made a selection and the solenoid had stayed energized until it gave out. I smelled THAT smell when something on a board fries but nothing looks suspicious. After that any time I trigger a selection and the 5 amp fuse blows? I haven’t been able to make a proper selection besides once or twice when it magically worked, after that I haven’t had any luck. I read somewhere it’s possible my override switch is triggered but I don’t know where to look or what those look like. Absolutely any advice is something I’ve ran into a pretty big dead end and my limited knowledge can only do so much.

I just merged this duplicate post into this thread.
You didn't answer my question... do you have a service manual?
Many of your questions will be answered there. The manual does show items such as the override switch assembly.
Additional duplicate posts covering the same subject will be removed without notice.

Where are you located, maybe there is a member close by that can help. A manual would be a good investment if you plan to keep the jukebox.
