So I’m brand new to jukeboxes, but not new to fixing things. I just bought a Rowe AMI MM2-CD, and it seemed to be working pretty well at the time of purchase. After driving it home 150 miles, though, it has a problem. I’ll first tell you the problem, and then tell you how far I’ve gotten.
THE PROBLEM: The title rack would not operate in either direction.
WHAT I’VE DONE SO FAR: I found that the title rack motor wires has jarred loose, so I reattached them. That fixed half the problem. The title rack will now flip to one side only (using the top button). If I reverse the wires on the motor, the title rack will flip to the other direction (also using the top button). Nothing I do will make the bottom button function in any way.
I have checked for any loose wires or connections, including on the “title rack keyboard interface assembly”. After connecting those original two wires that had become loose from the title rack motor, everything else seems squared away.
I have tested the bottom button for continuity, and it has continuity when depressed.
I have also checked the motor wires for voltage when the buttons are depressed. When the top button is depressed, I get about 28 or 29 volts. When the bottom button is depressed, I get zero volts. THIS seems to be my problem.
That’s how far I have gotten. Does anyone have any ideas? My hunch is that this is a really simple problem, but that I don’t see the solution. I’ve consulted the manual (what a load of information, my god), but it hasn’t helped me.
By the way, if I put the unit in “service mode”, I have the same issue: only one of the buttons will advance the title rank in one direction. So I don’t think it’s a button issue.
Thank you so much for any information. I’d be happy to send someone some beer money if they can help me sort this out.

PS, i tried to include images here, but i couldn't figure it out
