Hi, I have an AMI E120 that will not reject the record. I can insert a coin, make a selection, mech will scan and pick up the record and play. End of record will not reject. Cancel or reject button on power supply does not work. Fuse are all good. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! I've been trying for sometime to figure this out. I do have the manual.
Thanks,
Doug

After reading my post it got me thinking. Should I be looking at the reverse relay?

Thanks for the reply. I am 200 KM away from the jukebox. I have been helping him over the phone. He is not great mechanically but we're getting there. I had him clean the contacts RR2 and it will work if he manually pushes in the relay. I told him he needs to clean all the contacts. Hopefully that should fix it.
Thanks,
Doug

Well... Here we are almost a year later and I still haven't figured out the problem. I picked up the mech, amp and power supply and brought it home. What I have found is that the reverse relay is not getting voltage to it. I disconnected the wires and manually put voltage to it and it pulls in. So I know the coil is fine. I get 32 volts DC coming out of the power supply by checking wire 3 to ground. I have cleaned and checked for continuity the reversing switch and the camshaft switches (CS1-CS2). Pushing in the relay when a record is playing will reject it properly so I know the contacts are fine. It's just not getting the voltage. Checking the schematic in the manual, it shows the ground (pin2) going directly to one side of the relay. There is continuity there. The counter solenoid works so the voltage is going that far. What am I missing?? I have the exact same jukebox so I'm a little familiar with it. (It's a real PITA!!) I'd appreciate any help.

Pin 2 isn't the ground, pin 1 is, see the description below. Maybe the cancel switch is shorted? Norman.

Hi Norman, Thanks for the reply. Cancel switch is good. I disconnected both wires and checked with an ohm meter. I think my next move would be to trace the wires coming from the mech junction box. I haven't seen this person in nearly a year and he may have been anxious to get it fixed and had someone else working on it. The odd thing is, when I first got it home, I put it on my bench. Cleaned the relay and cs contacts. Hooked everything up and it rejected the record. I played three in a row and it worked fine. I stepped away for a bit, came back and made another selection and now back to not rejecting. I tried several times. I tried cleaning the same contacts, nothing
Thanks for your help,
Doug

I figured out the problem. It is working good. I put it in play mode and started poking around with a pencil to see if maybe a wire was loose. I hit the CS2 blade and it started picking up the record. I cleaned those switches several times but didn't burnish them. Once I burnished them, everything is working good.
Thanks, Doug
