Hello,
I recently purchased a NSM Prestige ES160 jukebox from a local auction - when I plugged the jukebox in at the auction, everything lit up.
When i got it home & tried to play a record, everything looked good as I tried to play the machine - until the record stops playing after the first few notes & then the record stopped & then the jukebox reset itself.
After the first notes are heard, the machine seems to make a short squcking sound & then the record rejects & the machine resets.
PLEASE HELP!

Usually when the tonearm reaches the cut-out groove of the record, the pickup arm wit the magnet will activate a reed-contact. The magnetic field then closes the reed-contact and hence the record gets returned to the magazine.
In in your case I can think of two options: 1. The reed contact is closed permanently. In that case the jukebox "thinks" that the record is finished and returns it. 2. The cancel knob on the back is activated somehow.
Maybe somebody else has another idea too.

Could you please help me by offering suggestions as to the location of the two named items (photos would be a huge help!)

Sorry for the late reply. I don't have a photo of the cancel knob. Check the back of the jukebox close to the volume control. There you should find the cancel knob too. Check here the photos above no. 8, they show the reed contact: www.jukebox-world.de/Forum/Archiv/FAQ-NSM/Abspielproblem.htm#NSMIt might look slightly different in your Prestige ES160 but in general they look the same in most models of NSM.
