I have this well used machine that my wife's grandparents had in their restaurant for many years. I have the service manual for it somewhere, but I can't currently find it.
I've got the machine mostly working. It makes a selection, selects and plays a record at the correct speed. There are some dirty connections and knobs that need dealt with, but overall it operates and sounds as it should.
Here is what doesn't work:
Coin mechanism (I don't remember what happens, possibly the coins just get stuck) Auto-start after selection is made.
I could care less about the coin mechanism, but I included it for the possibility that it might be related to the other issue. I have been using the "Free Play" button, and it works fine.
Once the selection is made, in order to get it to select the first record, you must switch the selector to Scan then back to Operate. After the machine is in operation, it will continue to play records until the selections run out.
I'm hoping this is a simple issue, is there anyone that knows what I need to do?

I would check the wobble plate switch.
It would sure help if you had the manual.

Thanks for the reply. The manual I have (when I could find it) was no help. While I have a general aptitude for mechanics and electronics, I have no prior experience with jukeboxes, or any other devices from this era. That said, your comment leaves me with more questions than answers. What is a wobble plate? What is the function of the switch you mentioned, and what would its general location be?

I'm sorry you consider the service manual no help. The service manual gives us a common point of reference. Without this common point of reference, I would have to describe all of the parts, the nomenclature, the electronic circuits, the illustrations.... and so forth. Having said that, the 'wobble switch' is located on the 'selector assembly'. You can find these items easily by referencing the service manual. If you can't locate your manual, maybe it's time to get another one!

I think what I have is more of an operations manual, it doesn't contain any technical information. There are no circuit diagrams or schematics that I can remember seeing. Like I said, it was not helpful, which is why this problem has not been resolved. Using only my knowledge of basic functionality I was able to get the stuck arm mechanism working, slow record speed resolved, amplifier circuitry functioning, and album selection working. This thing was a mess when I got it, but now it is overall working pretty well. When you enter a selection it spins the selection wheel and hammers the pin like it should. The only thing it doesn't do is start the record drum spinning after the selection is made. The systems in the machine are fairly simple, I can't image it would be a very difficult repair. Without having any reference to what circuit should be activated, I just don't know where to look. If you know where I can get one, let me know. Otherwise, if someone has access to one, I could use their help on this.

You've done well so far!
If you are in the US, one of the easiest suppliers for manuals is Victory Glass.
We do have a suppliers post ("PARTS" (Used, new) /"BOOKS"/ "REPAIRS"--Where to find) in the FAQs section, but admittedly it needs updating.

There is a manuel that sells on amazon that is very helpfull. It's called -Jukebox the theory of operation, and has a 425 issue.I have it and its great. It will tell you what is suppose to take place say, after selection buttons are pressed,or after selection has been put on the platter, what takes place in control box when all this happens, what contacts are suppose to be closed /open,and good info like that. I recommend it

Thanks Shrim Peater, that sounds like it should have exactly the information I need. I've just acquired the standard service manual, hopefully I'll have some time soon to go through it. If I can't figure out what I need from this, I'll look into the one you've suggested.
