Hi All,
My Wurlitzer 1100 tone arm has been missing the 'Feed-in' groove of the record.
I followed the manual and I have adjusted the arm many times and it works for a while but starts missing the correct spot on the record. I have also oiled all the moving parts.
The jukebox is set on 45rpm play.
It might work correctly on a particular record and then (for no reason) next time I play the same record, the arm moves a little too far and starts on the 'music section' of the record.
If I play the same record again, it might set down correctly.
It appears like the weight pushes the arm a little too far into the record (I have adjusted the weight).
Can anyone offer any ideas on what I can try, I think that I am missing something.
Kind Regards
Gordon...

There are a couple of things I would check.
First, if the 'tone arm latch' (on the bottom of the tone arm) rides above the 'tone arm latch pin' while the record is being raised, the tone arm may jump in past the start of the record.
Second, the lever that has the adjustable weight (feed in assembly) also has a feed in stop adjustment. The feed in action should stop before the needle reaches the playing groove of the record. See the service manual page 42. Correctly adjusting this will prevent the weight from pushing the tone arm into the record.
Hope this helps!

Thanks Marty,
I'll have another look at the feed in stop adjustment. It looks like a home made attachment has been added. I will give it a try.
My tone arm latch does not hold the tone arm. it is set away so it does not catch. I'm not sure if its the correct latch.
Cheers Gordon...

Hi Marty,
I spent some time adjusting the feed-in arm. It's very sensitive and I guess I'm impatient, however, it is working at present. I'll test it for a few days before I declare it fixed.
Thanks
Gordon....
