Howdy folks; Can anyone tell me the best way to store a jukebox during the winter months? It is presently in an unsulated metal building with a cement floor. Power is available. Thanks; Pete.

Throughout the years I have not done anything specifically related to mid term or long term storage. All of my machines lived. I'm pretty sure everything will be OK without specific preparation, just keep it out of the elements.
I'd also make sure the rodents don't get at it. They love jukeboxes. You may want to store your records in a climate controlled environment... they don't like temperature variations or extremes. -Marty

Depending on the climate (not sure about Southern Idaho) in the unsulated metal building, is there a problem with condensation (I hope it's the right term) when the weather changes? This can harm the condition of wood and metal if not protected. After years units can look quite rusty. If it is just cold but dry, then it doesn't harm.

I've two Rock-Ola jukeboxes that live in our dry, but unheated summerhouse at the bottom of the garden. During the cold months I cover them with insulation. In each I keep a small 60w greenhouse heater on a timer and a rechargeable dehumidifier. I try to keep them as close to a comfortable room temperature.
I mostly use them when I'm gardening, so in the summer, for several hours on most fine days, but very little during the cold months. I make a point of playing half a dozen A and B sides a couple of times a week through the winter. I'm a firm believer that, "use is the best form of preventative maintenance," I've been doing this for well over a decade without any problems.
