1015 straight tube replacement

Hi, first I have not an expert to the 1015 bubbler but I am not scared to learn or try something.

One of the straight tubes gave up and I ordered a replacement from Victory glass.  The tube looks very well made. My issue is the new tube does not fit all the way into the heating element. The good news is it fits enough to heat.

I would ask the experts. This is just an anomaly, or there is a tip for this. I definitely did not wish to force the tube into the holder.

Problem solved. Jim at Victory Glass called bright and early this morning. Jim said see if there was a brass shim in the socket. I did not see it at first but a brighter light I caught a glance and grabbed it with needle nose pliers. tube fits perfect. Great customer service.
