Good afternoon! My name is Dan Yurko and obviously a new member here. Being semi-retired and mechanically inclined I decided now would be a good time to buy that fixer-upper jukebox that I always wanted. Iv'e owned and restored classic cars, collect and repair real neon, vintage stereo equipment and pretty much anything else that is a challenge and that my wife will shake her head at.
My first and recent purchase is a 1970 Seeburg USC1. Of course the seller lists it in good condition and worked until he moved it 25 miles from his main home to his lakehouse. I get there and it looks like, well let's just say it hasn't seen daylight in quite a few years and "good" condition may be stretching it. It does light up and the plate is spinning. When I got it home I put the carriage back in place, slid it to the right side of the unit and when it started smoking I figured I better unplug it and order some manuals and start there! My thought is that it will be a good learning unit.
My family and I have lived just outside the city of Charlotte for 18 years. I'm recently semi-retired from a 40 year automotive career and started a small wallpaper business 7 years ago. Yes, wallpaper is back and I am very busy.....
I'm looking forward to meeting some great jukebox people, learning and hopefully coming away with a few working units to enjoy.

Hi Dan. I'm in the Charlotte area too. (Indian Land). I currently battling 2 jukeboxes...one 64 years old and one 30 years old. I'm close on both.
It's fun.
If I can help you at all feel free.
Chris
