My M100c stopped working. The motor won't run when a selection is made or with the service switch. What I have found so far is that the play control relay is energized and making contact. I have 120 volts at the reversing switch and the reversing switch is working. When I ask the motor to run by either making a selection or using the service switch, I can feel or hear a very faint hum from the motor. Should I be looking to replace the motor run capacitor?

When the motor is humming and has power, try turning the motor by hand and see if it starts up and continues spinning.

Hi Lincoln, Yep--time to replace the cap--unless the "O" contacts are not making-- Ron Rich
