Hi all I recently got a continental 2 100 select and problem started next day. first the carousel stopped turning which was a blown fuse but right after it plays first selection fine but after that the next selection loads from the wheel and immediately rejects as soon as the tonearm hits the record and it comes back out and rejects over and over. I checked and the pin wasnt pushed back out (reset) so I pulled the pin out with my fingers and the record then stayed in the wheel and everything stopped. when trying again same thing first record fine and then the reject over and over. the pin wheel and pins are clean and power supply seems ok .
could the wrong type fuse cause this possibly? any help greatly appreciated.

The blown fuse doesn't cause such a problem.
Electrically when the record play is finished, the tonearm enters the cut-off groove. This will activate the reversing relay, stopping switch and mute the amplifier. Maybe there is a little electrical problem which causes the problem (hence the fuse did blow). But maybe it is the mechanical issue as you say the selection pin did not get reset. Watch the mechanism and try to see which part should push back the pin. Maybe you can see anything.
Anyway, you should let us know if the jukebox worked before you got it, was it restored, overhauled or unrestored, which condition. If restored, did you ask the seller? Do you have a service manual of your Conti 2? If not I recommend to get one. You will need it to understand your jukebox and the sequences better. It describes also the sequence for the selection and to reset the selection pins. Also is the Conti 2/100 manual selection (hand wheel) or with bushbuttons?
Note: I am not a technician and most likely I cannot really help on this matter.

If the selection pin is not being reset, the stopping switch will stay in the "made" position which is the cause of your problem. Follow the schem-a-grams in the manual (get one if you don't have one as Hildegarde has recommended) to fault find the pin reset circuit. Does it happen with both A and B sides?

Forgot to mention the platter keeps turning when no selection is entered which stopped when record finished before this issue

You probably have cam switch issues but you would need to check the circuits using the schem-a-grams to be certain. CS6 operates the reset solenoids and CS1 the turntable motor.
