These are neat machines! Mine does not appear to keep memory, when performing the Initialization P160, it goes thru all the discs, then starts over. I eventually shut it down. It always comes up with an error code of P041 or near there, I then program that one, and next I get P042, and program that, but when I get to P044, it will take a huge number like 1000, but not a ), or anything less than 1000, and of course after resetting the service button, it errors out for P044. What's a good setting for that? Manual only says its for a light show, and I can't find any battery on any board. One chip says NSM 176396 and the board has a code ES-V. There's also two LEDs and the top one is on, the bottom one flashes. Don't know what those are for. Any good place for parts?

I certainly no expert on NSM's, so maybe someone else can weigh in.
I'm not sure why your NSM would be repeating the initialization (CD read in).
P041 through P144 are programming command locations not error messages.
The defaults for these command locations are:
P041 '0' P042 '0024' P043 '1105' P044 '1000'
I would try to program the defaults into these locations to see what happens.

I programmed P041-44 as you showed, pressed the service button in, then back out, I still get the P041 err 31, but the programming remains as I programmed them. I do have the battery chip on order...
