From what I remember, the Rock-Ola automix is purely mechanical - no switches! That is, there are two different diameters on the turntable motor drive shaft and the idler wheel is shifted. Your one must be sticking? Yes there will be a way to disable it but without having one to look at, I can't really help. Youtube video maybe?
