WEELLLL...heard back from my EE friend and amp seems to be working fine. He found nothing wrong! So I'm back to square one on the search for sound. I'd swear there is nothing wrong with the area between the cartridge and the RCA plug that goes in amp (but I have been wrong at least once before in my life). So I will start my concentration on the speaker wiring harness and plug that goes in the amp. Speakers have been reconed and I have heard them working outside the box. Also, I have recapped the tweeters(hoping I didn't screw that up,but will recheck). If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears.
