Nice to be back after a long absence! My "C" was working fine until this. The mech seems to stop just short of the ideal centered location, causing record to play over and over because cancel lever is not re-setting the pin. This happens in either direction, ruling out (I think) frog or magazine location. If I "help" the mech get to the proper location as the mech stops at the slot, all is well. I can manually move the mech about 3/16-inch, side-to-side. Is this "play" or "lash" normal? How is this adjusted? I have looked at the stickies pertaining to "plays record over and over", but the symptoms don't exactly match. These buggers are COMPLICATED! Thanks for any edjamacation, (Learned that from Ron) Randy W Santa Rosa, CA

Hi Marty, Thanks for the follow-up. Yes. While a record is playing or when stopped, I can move the mech from side to side (with some resistance) before it hits a hard stop in either direction. Your thoughts? Randy W

The mechanism shouldn't rock side to side once the mechanism in play position (and the detent arm is fully engaged).
Do you have a manual? See clutch adjustments 1, 2, 3 and 4 (especially 3, but all four steps must be done in sequence).
