When crediting up and making the first song selection, there was a loud clicking sound from my R. I was still able to get all 5 songs selected. Now, when I credit up, I can make one selection but there is a 1 minute lag or longer before the buttons allow for a second selection and no loud clicking noise. I have not recapped the select receiver and am wondering why it freezes up. Any ideas would be appreciated. I took 15 years off playing with my Seeburg 100s so I have forgotten a ton.

Sticky cancel solenoid in the CCU? Are the pushbuttons taking a minute to release after a selection or are they releasing and then taking a minute to allow another selection?
Norman.

You are correct Norman. Do you have picture of the cancel solenoid that I need to replace?

Sorry Norman, the pushbuttons are releasing, then it takes a while to allow for another selection. I hear a click after a minute or so and then I can make another selection

I didn't mean replace it - clean it, it's probably sticky! Norman

the cancel solenoid plunger moves freely. Is it possible that I need to replace it?

Could it be the credit solenoid? It takes about 90 seconds for the new song to be energized for selection Very confusing

Contacts then in that unit, give them a clean, cancel solenoid contacts and timing relay. There's a sticky on contact cleaning should you need to refer to it.
Norman.

Hi Norm, I just changed out the electrical selector on the select receiver and the problem still exists. Could the issue be in the keyboard selector?

The starting switches and hold switches on the keyboard selector (also called alectrical selector by Seeburg) as well as the latch solenoid form part of this circuit so yes, I suppose it would be possible that they might be the cause!
Norman.
