Hello My father has recently bought a Seeburg SE100 – Golden Jet. Machine seems to be in pretty good shape: scan works, amplifer also works. During scan you can select a record manually (using some kind of switch on a mech): record is then picked up, played and put back on its place when play finishes. The problem with this is that when selecting track from keyboard the keys get stuck and nothing happens, mech doesn't work, no record is picked up. My father has a service manual but he's got no experience in American Jukebox machines (I'm from Poland btw). It's kind of his dream to have a working Jukebox in his house so he bought one, but it needs some repairs apparently. Any help, suggestions will be higlhy appreciated. Tomasz

Very little to go on there Tomasz! You could look at the "battery trick" sticky above which would indicate whether that section was operational. But I fear you might need more thorough refurbishment!

Hey jukenorman, thanks for your suggestion. Sorry for replying late but I was a bit busy with other stuff. As for Seeburg - the "battery trick" resulted in machine playing all records in a row. I mean it picks one record, plays it and then moves it back to its place in storage and picks another and so on. When trying to use the push buttons they remain in "down" state but the mechanism does not start. Tomasz

Hi Tomasz, That's a big jump forward, it proves a lot more of the jukebox is functional! I don't have an SE100 manual so I can't guide you to the exact page but you need to find the section dealing with the Tormat Electrical Selector (pushbuttons). Associated with each pushbutton section (letters and numbers) are switch sections entitled start switches and hold switches - make sure they are clean and fuctional. There is a "sticky post" dealing with contact cleaning. Let us know how you progress.
