Hey everyone, I just added an item to my man cave that I've wanted for as far back as I can remember. I've been in love with the table-top diner music controllers since I was a little kid in Boston and my mom would give me nickels and dimes to feed them.
I just bought a Seeburg Wall-O-Matic 100 wall box and want to get the lighting working on it. That's the only function I really care about. I wanna be able to look over at it and be brought back to the diners of the late 50s and early 60s.
I did a little reading and found that these wall boxes ran on 25V A/C. I purchased a 25V transformer that I plan to install in a box with a switch and hide behind the unit. That's as far as I've gotten. I know that the wall box has a built-in transformer but I don't know if I can trust it after all these years.
I'd really appreciate it if any of you can point me to where I can find out how to rewire just the lighting circuit of this wall box. Again, my only goal is to get the lights going on it.
Thanks, Steve

Hi Steve, Well yes I guess you are on your own - and for a number of reasons! You have posted your query in "user introducions", I would be very surprised if your query is something that any contributor here has actually carried out and finally it's not exactly difficult to conjure a solution especially once you discover that the existing lighting is 7 volts. Now here's a thought for you; why don't you refurbish the 3W1 and install a WMP-255 from cdadapter.com/ and then with the addition of an unobtrusive small loudspeaker you have a "working" wallbox into which you can drop coins and make selections - proper nostalgia! I know the audio output would only be 3 watts but alternatively you could hook it up to another music system.
Oh and welcome to the froum!
Norman.

The lamps are 3x GE51 (7.5V) and 3x GE55 (7V, larger globe). Hildegard
