Hello I have a 1960 Bal AMI model J 200 jukebox. It has a problem, when an odd number is selected, the jukebox functions perfectly but when an even number is selected it does not work correctly: It selects the record and places it on the turntable, the pick up arm moves on to the record and it plays. When the record is finished the pick up arm is placed on to its rest, the transfer grips the record and starts to lift it then it stops apart from the turntable. I've checked all contacts, wiring connections and I cannot find the problem. If you lift the transfer arm very gently with your finger it begins to move as if there is some weak power to the motor, if you use the DC switch on scan it will lift and replace the record to the magazine easily. If anybody has any ideas, I would be very grateful for your assistance.

It's probably stopping switch 1 or wiring associated with it. In this instance, the scan switch shorts out its contact. Interestingly the circuit for returning the record to the magazine is the same for both A and B sides so you will probably find that operating the scan switch when an A side is returning will speed up the motor.
Norman.
