My Wurlitzer 1800 just started throwing a record completly across the turntable. This happens with just one selection. All other secleted records work just fine. Any help or thoughts will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

So just until this the 1800 worked fine and troublefree always and regularly? Did this happen with first record after switching on the jukebox? My first thought: A minor sticky gripper unit which does so when the grease is cold.

Bob One of the reasons this happens is the record lift arm gets caught on the carousel as it starts to lift the record to the turntable. Since you state it only happens on one particular selection, check carefully on that one record and watch the lift arm attempt to lift the record. Usually this would happen on several selections which means the carousel is not stopping in the exact location it should. On multiple records flying across the turntable, the carousel stops (in front and under the carousel) need adjustment. In your case ,since only one record is having the problem, I would look at the carousel where that record with the "flying" problem is placed and see where the lift arm is getting caught.Hope this helps.
