Working on a 1939 ST-39 for a gentleman that sat in a barn for 50+ years. Rough shape. I finally found a schematic for the F2 amplifier so it is working. Anyone have a clue as to where I might find a schematic for the chassis wiring?
The issue I am having is I am not getting 24 VAC to activate the solenoid to give the one credit for the nickel, two credits for the dime and 5 credits for the quarter. There is 24 VAC to the coin mech which I rebuilt the coin mechanism and cleaned all the points. The credit solenoid was missing from the jukebox when I got it but there were two wires not attached where the solenoid used to be. I tried and tried to find a replacement 24 VAC solenoid a 2 inch total length, including the throw. I had no luck, but I could find them in DC. So, I put a bridge rectifier in and converted AC to DC for the solenoid which in theory should work just fine.
I really need to know 2 things, how the signal gets from the coin mechanism to the two wires to activate the solenoid and where exactly the 24 volt AC is delivered from in the box.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
