Hello,
My AMI i200M (manual selector) selection wheel sometimes turns stiffly. If I continue to turn the selection wheel (through all selections from A1 to K20), it runs so stiffly in 4 places (e.g. J10 to J19) that I can no longer continue turning the wheel. So I have to remove the cover and turn the coupling arm assembly by hand.
Does anyone have an idea where to start looking? a.manual selector (sprag wheel, brass gear, letter wheel gear,...) b. record magazine shaft c) something else?
Looking forward hearing from you!
Greetings and thanks in advance,
Marcel

You probably need to split it to determine where the stiffness is. I don't think there's an easy or obvious answer.
Norman.

Hi Norman,
thanks for your reply. You're right, i will separate the manual selector from the shaft first to narrow down the options.
thanks, Marcel

Clearance between mechanical selector gears has to be adjusted, procedure fully descibed in manual.
