hello I have a continental 2 stereoround automix and when I have the tonearm working well it starts to stick and act up after a few plays. the tonearm post has an open end brass bushing and a silver identical bushing on top of the brass one so
the silver bushing pushes into the opening at top keeping the tonearm smooth and not wobbly but it ends up inside the hole and then the arm is loose until i fish the bushing out and put it back
I read something About a brass bushing and bearing not 2 bushings stacked
thanks

It should look like this - maybe you miss the little ball inside the bushing?

Wow then whoever worked on this machine previously just put the 2 shorter bushings one on top the other and that’s why the machine is acting up And definitely no bearing does the bearing go on top the bushing once you put it on? Any ideas where to get the right bushing and bearing? Thank you
