Hi all: working on rowe bubbler with a cdm 3 player. I have never seen one of these before. I have access to the manual, but do not believe that it has schematics. Here is the problem. after a few minutes of play, the player just slows down sound stops, then picks back up and plays for a few more seconds. it keeps this up randomly stopping. it does not reject the disc when it does this. i pulled the mech to work on loose connections on the driver board. i need to know if i am looking in the correct place. i have access to other cd100 mechs with the cdm12 player, and want to know if they are a viable option to just swap out the entire mech. What i have read it does not look good for just having the player rebuilt. thanks Mark

Hi Mark, Check the small gray colored plug that is on the right side of the MCC--if hot, that's a common problem which player re-building (if you can find someone, reliable, to do it ?) will not fix--ribbon connector must be soldered. Yes--other then the power plugs (P-15, I think ?),(see your schematics for correct placement of those two plugs--and be SURE that there is no "red-3M clip joiner" on the power supply grounds --just cut the white/black free, if there) the whole mech is inter changeable. You may also need to up-grade the power supply board, if the 8.2 is less then 8.9 vdc. Check that there is NO "black wire" going from that board to ground remove it, if there), and that the ground traces are cut away from where the board goes "through" the mounts. Ron Rich
