Hi! I`m restoring old R-O Starlet and there`s one wire from end of record swith to cam switch 3 broken? There`s an extra switch added for "taking off the record" from the plate. IS this broken wire (black-orange) meant to be in cam switch or straight in "extra" switch black-orange wire?
There has been several problems by the re-owner, Wobble plate in wrong position etc...

I think it's next to impossible to help you from the sparse information you have provided especially since that incorporates a "modification". What I think you ought to do is to return the wiring as it should be and then carry out fault finding. The diagram in your manual on page 45 shows and describes what happens when the record rejects. And yes, as you can see in the diagram, the black/orange wire should connect from the tone arm switch to micro switch 3. And finally, it's not uncommon for these switches to give problems. That's the best I can do!
