Sometimes it will play a record when buttons close to A-1 are selected then it will not play the next selection. If tapped lightly on the mechanism next to turn table it will click and turntable will rotate but never picks up the next record selected. I’ve had it over 15 years and it started this 6-7 years ago but sometimes it would play 3-4 records then stop with out playing the next selection. Help please as my wife and I love the old records. I am mechanical inclined but don’t have a clue where to start. Thanks

Do you have a service manual for your machine?
I'm assuming you're saying that the record returns to the carousel, but then the carousel does not advance to the next selected record.
If so, I'd start with the mechanism's 'override assembly'... possibly a dirty or misadjusted contact, or a mechanical lubrication issue.

Yes, on the playing the record, then it returns the record to carousel, then it will turn the carousel around twice then it stops and doesn’t move anymore. Also if you select a record further down from say the “A-1” selection, it clicks like it took the response but it doesn’t move the carousel to the selection you had chosen.

If your machine is scanning but not picking up selections, you will need to determine where in the sequence of operation the failure is occurring.
Is the appropriate 'latch pin' on the 'selection accumulator' being released when making a selection from the keyboard?
If your machine doesn't scan upon making a keyboard selection you should still consider checking the 'override assembly'.
