I have a Seeburg DEC125 in chrome and trying to find parts for it. I see that there are 4 models, 2 in chrome and 2 bronze.
I also see parts sellers listing these models as DEC 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Very confused as to which is which. Any ideas? Are all parts the same?
DEC 110 Bronze DEC 125 Chrome DEC 210 Bronze DEC 225 Chrome
How does the Seeburg DEC 1, 2, 3, 4 line up with the above list or are these 4 a totally different animal?
Specifically looking for the digital electronic selector DES1 and the digital transmitter and pricing unit DTP1
Thanks, Henry

Hi Henry, All DEC's are DEC's. The "10, 25" indicate the pricing set-up that was factory installed (10 cents per play, or 2 plays for 25 cents). They used the same "code" for the LS-3 phono models introduced with the DEC's. The colors are independent of the numbering system--somewhat-- The basic DES is the same for all models--the numbering on them indicates the different rear boards attached to the DES. A DTP-1 is interchangeable with all DTP-1's. What DES "parts" are you looking for ? Ron Rich

I'm looking for the Digital Electronic Selector DES1 part number 412000 according to the parts manual. A few sellers on ebay calls them "keyboard switch assembly" but they are all listed for a DEC4 so not sure if it will work.

Henry. I doubt ANY of them on ePay will work. Like I said, the only difference is the rear, outboard mounted, PCB. ALL DEC's, as well as phonographs "keyboards", or, Digital Electronic Selectors (" DES") need to be serviced, every once in awhile. I covered servicing them in my Seeburg MicroLog Trouble Shooting Guide. You can, if you wish, either purchase the guide, or contact me, and I will service yours for you. Unfortunately, the DEC125 is missing the digital electronic selector DES1 and the digital transmitter and pricing unit DTP1 so nothing to service. I was hoping to fix it for a friend who has a SMC2 "Phoenix".

Henry, A DEC is not compatible with a SMC phono, unless you have a "blue box" translator, to go with it-- Ron Rich

Thanks for your help Ron. I may have to convert it to a mp3 player if I can't find a translator.

I had converted my Seeburg Consolette SCH1 into a stand-alone MP3 player using this: www.wallbox2mp3.com/en/I was going to add a stepper unit to my SS160 but my wife is really enjoying this as an MP3 player. I may convert the DEC125 using the same type of MP3 converter if I can't get it to work with the phono. But I still need to find a DES1 and DTP1.

IF, You are going to do this, I would suggest that you don't use the copies --go to the originator--www.datasynceng.com Ron Rich
