Read out problem

I have a Rockola 454 and I can’t seem to get numbers to hold to play songs I was told it’s a read out problem so i replacedthe read out relay and still has a problem. Any idea?

I'm not sure I understand.

What do you mean you can't get the numbers to hold?

Does that mean the keyboard buttons don't stay latched down when the third number is pressed?

Do the first digit and second digit lights illuminate when trying to make a selection?

Also...
Is there a credit on the machine (select light on)?
Does the service switch scan the mechanism?
Does the machine respond if you set a selector pin (key) manually?

Do you have a service manual?
What information lead to the conclusion that there was a read out problem?
