I recommend obtaining the service manual if you don't have one. Familiarize yourself with the schematics and how the box operates. You would be surprised how much you can fix on your own. I am currently on my first restoration which is a Conti 2. The mechanism has given my grief just about in every step of the operational sequence. However, I have much more thorough understanding on how the box works and how each process finite. With the help of the individuals here and on social media, I have been able to fix my and get it running. In the long run, it pays dividends to know how fix it when problems arise. The mechanism is not super complicated, its just takes a thorough understanding. Most maintenance and trouble shooting can be accomplished with all the usual tools that homeowners have in their possession.
What is the problem(s) you are having with your Continental 2?
