I'm new and know enough to be dangerous. I acquired a Seeburg AY160 H from a thrift shop. It has a Tormat TSU5 and selector TES 167. Amplifier is a SHFA 4. Pricing unit is a USP 1. It was complete and came with manuals but extremely dirty. I cleaned everything getting all the old grease and dirt out of the mech unit. I cleaned all the contacts and checked fuses. I replaced all the capacitors in the Tormat and pricing unit. I also checked all the resistors. The coin selector has a button to add credits and it also works with quarters and dimes. Half dollars don't seem to work even though it shows half dollars on the front of the machine. The amp plays well considering it has all the old capacitors in it yet. When I insert money the credit wheel advances but the credit light doesnt light. I installed a new bulb and checked the 65 ohm resistor. When I make a selection the buttons remain down but if I manually push down on the credit subtract solenoid in the pricing unit it will release the latch bar and mech unit scans and finds the correct record. I can select a song manually push the solenoid down pick another song push the solenoid down and it will scan and play all the correct songs. Picks up plays and ejects just fine. After all selections it scans and parks just fine. I put a volt meter on the subtract solenoid in the pricing unit and it doesn't receive any voltage to activate the solenoid. I believe all the contacts are ok in the pricing unit because if I manually push the solenoid credits subtract and record plays. I just can't seem to figure out what activates the solenoid. I have no way of testing tubes but they all light up and get warm. OA2 tubes were replaced. Any help would be extremely appreciated.
Thanks.
