Hi All. I have a Seeburg Select-o-Matic 100 that was my father-in-law's. No matter the record, the song starts to repeat somewhere halfway through the play. I know nothing about jukeboxes and tried do a little research into the issue and bought new "needles" which did not fix the problem. The ones that were on it, felt like they worn out as they were somewhat squishy and could very easily be pushed back into its holder. I thought that meant the needle didn't have enough resistance to stay in the grooves but, the repeating is still happening. Anyway, could it be the arm's mechanism or the spring that pulls the arm to the record? He's had this jukebox for at least 40 years and I've been around the family for more than 30 of those and I never saw him turn it on so it's been sitting around for the most part. He passed in 2017 so I have no other information I can provide. Thanks in advance for any help.
Here is the link to the photo as I can't add an image:

The most likely cause would be stiff tonearm wire, or a missing or misadjusted trip switch counterbalance spring.
Another cause can be a binding tonearm (possibly from a lubrication issue) or obstruction, or the 'pickup balance' is out of adjustment.

Of course I'm assuming the tone arm is jumping back toward the beginning of the record.
If it's rejecting before the end of the song and repeating the same record, that's a different story.

It's just sitting in place playing the same grove in the record. I have to manually pick the arm up and move it to the end to the end myself. Again, from a total newb not knowing the first thing about repairing one, could it be the spring that provides tension to the arm against the record? Would that be a cheap and easy stab or not even worth trying?

OK, I think I understand... the record is skipping. Something is most likely impeding the tone arm. Everything I said in this post still applies: The most likely cause would be stiff tonearm wire, or a missing or misadjusted trip switch counterbalance spring. Another cause can be a binding tonearm (possibly from a lubrication issue) or obstruction, or the 'pickup balance' is out of adjustment.
