Hello all, I have a Wurlitzer 2610 and currently working through issues. Current problem, the record, when being lifted by the left lifting arm (looking from the back) does not center the record (45 rpm) over the pilot (for those following along in the Good Book AKA: Service Manual, 2600 Series, Pg 63, item 6), therefore the record sits idle as the turntable turns. When I cancel the selection, the record drops properly. This is not an issue when the right arm lifts a selection. I have adjusted the screw (Page 18, RECORD LIFT ARM HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT) by adjusting the screw in Fig 39, 8, in both directions yet it changes nothing. The record arrives at the pilot not centered with the 7 o'clock position (looking from the front) on the record lower. Thus not allowing the unit to grab the record.
Any thoughts? Ron?
Thank you in advance.
Dan

Is the lift arm going up all the way?
If it is, it is impossible for the 'lift arm height' adjustment not to have an effect on the height of the arm.
Can you push the arm further up by hand?

Yes it appears to be going all the way. I am starting to think that I have a pilot and boss clamp issues as if the pilot is not extending out far enough to hook the record but the service manual does not match what I see for adjustment.

Not sure if this makes any difference however now when the left lift arm raises the record, it does not clamp on but then when rejected it falls back to the carousel without issue. The right lift are places the record on the pilot and clamps on and plays but when it is time to drop it, it does not release from the pilot unless I tap the Turntable Release arm assembly in the back of the machine. Cannot find how to adjust the clamp travel.

Dan, You can adjust the clamping arm on the back of the turntable IIRC. There should be a small flat circular"washer" (for lack of a better term) riding on a forked arm with two bearings. This "washer" is screwed onto a rod that goes through to the clamping arm (turntable). This washer,I believe, has a set screw to prevent it from unscrewing off the rod. Loosen the set screw and turn the washer to decrease the distance between the washer and turntable and this should improve the clamping of the record. I'm going at this from memory so I hope I am remembering the procedure correctly. Also I hope this makes sense. Good luck
