A couple cartridge and wiring questions for my conti 2

Hi I have come across different wiring configs for different cartridges.
I have a bsr sc5h with the clip which is so easy to install with the top screw and audio technical with the regular side screws bit of a pain.
One diagram shows red top black bottom on one side and black top red bottom on the other. Any help appreciated

In Continental 2 AMI used the magnetic cartridge GE VR22.
The BSR SC5H is a ceramic one if I know right. If so it cannot be a 1:1 replacement for the originally used VR22. The input stage of the amp would need an adjustment.

With the introduction of the stereo round system, AMI/Rowe did connect the stereo cartridge phase inverted. Means for one channel one wire gets connected swapped.
I guess that's what is shown on the diagram you mention.
