Hi
I'm new here, but not new to a restored jukebox I did 30 years ago - I had the major parts rebuilt (amp, selection receiver, pinbank, selector) and just did the cosmetic work.
Now that it has been awhile since I fired her up, I am having issues with the button selections not working.
I did have a free-play box that seemed to have stopped working - not sure if this could play a part in the issue.
So far, I have narrowed it down to this behavior:
All letter and number selections for B, D, F, H, K work
Only number selections 1, 2, 4 work for A, C, G, J the rest do not.
Selections for E - only E2 and E4 work
Selections E3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 go to E1
appears that the pin bank is ok - I would think it would be odd id a lot of the selector coils would be bad in the selector coil ass'y would go bad.
Anyone think it could be something in the Electrical Selector ES6-L6?
Thanks!
Keith

I would not suspect the selector coils in the pin bank. Based on this assessment "All letter and number selections for B, D, F, H, K work", it would indicate to me that there is a problem in the push button switches in the key board assembly (Electrical Selector). The assessment "Selections E3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 go to E1", makes no electrical sense... unless there is a short. I would start with the keyboard switches. There is some useful information about cleaning sliding type contacts in this thread: jukeboxaddicts.proboards.com/thread/5/contacts-care-cleaning-replacement

Thanks Jukebox Marty
I had the selector serviced, and appeared that the top bottom contacts pushed away from the circuit board (rivets gave way) and was repaired, but still have a problem with that unit.
I just picked up another selector for the "B" model and now getting only K2,K4,K6,K8,K10. could this be a wiring issue? do you know how I could test continuity to the K2,4,6,8,10 on the connector (via Ohm setting) to see if there is a wire problem?
Thanks!
