Hello all,
i am working on restoring my second 425 and am having issues with my read out carriage and wiper assembly. When i select a song it rotates, finds the pulled pin but does not cancel it. The hammers don't push the pins back down. I had cleaned all of the contact circuits and had it working and then moved the unit into my house from the garage and it stopped working. I have tested the cancel solenoids and they are reading at a consistent 32 ohms. I have also swapped out the carriage for another and no luck. Could this be a grounding issue somewhere? I know the wipers and circuit rings are clean and making contact. When i got it working the first time, it was after cleaning the write in carriage and rings. Could this be an issue with the write in side and I am not seeing it? Besides this, the write in carriage is have not issues, it finds the selection, flips the pin and starts playing music.
Thanks for your help.

This was fixed by switching out the control box under the turn table.
