I have a Rockola 437 the when using C or D with any number 1-9 the write in keeps searching. I have cleaned the letter contact on the key pad , with no luck I have a service manual and there is nothing about the letter circuit on the key pad . I’m trying to figure out why just C and D have this new problem worked good in the morning stopped in the evening. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Dave

Hi Dave, There is quite a lot of information on general Rock-Ola issues in the sticky above and problems of this type have come up before so you should find your answer already on the forum. You have said that you cleaned the keypad, but did you also clean the selector write-in printed circuit disc (page 14 of the manual)?

Norman As I was reading on the sticky I did grab a rag to clean the bottom side of the write in I noticed a wire that was broke going to the wobble switch. So I did splice it together and everything is working as it should be . It was an orange or red cloth covered wire that had broke. I appreciate your help Thanks Dave

I made a permanent fix to the wire this evening, when I tried it after the fix it would not play again . I did the wiggle test on the wires on the cabinet floor and the black rectangular plug was the culprit. I must have hit it while splicing the wires together. So all in is seems fine now.
