Hi all - first post here. (Have spent lots of time on video arcades and pins, but little on jukeboxes, so consider me mostly newbie. (I've had a Rockola 414S sitting around inop for years, will get to it 'someday' sigh.))
I recently brought home an SPS2, to fix for a friend. Bought some books.
The top is unlocked, but I am unable to open it. It will slide forward about 1/2 an inch or so, but no further.
I found one other post about this, but the resolution was not clear - "rollers were stuck under the track, pried them into place" - I have no idea how he did that.
I watched a couple of online videos showing this cabinet, but can't get a good sense of how this mechanism works.
Any assistance is appreciated -
Thanks, Mike

Following up, to document the solution - unlike the other poster with the off-track rollers, turns out that the plastic frame for the title strips is broken, and a previous owner secured it to the top with duct tape. The tape had given way, and the frame fell down just enough to prevent the top from sliding open. A very small screwdriver slid through the front allowed persuading the frame up and out of the way, just enough.
Now that the box is open, I can see that there is work ahead. It was apparently parked working, but of course not now. Seems pretty dirty. Records were spilled in the bottom of the cabinet.
It responds to a selection, but nothing appears to happen other than the turntable motor starts to run. Pressing cancel makes it stop.
I'm off to the books and troubleshooting guide -
Thanks, Mike
