Rockola 437 free play

I have a Rockola 437 that is on free play but the keypad lock solenoid has constant power . I have disconnected the power to the solenoid but now cannot push the buttons any way to work around this . Btw I brought the machine with free play already on . I trying to figure out how it was done

Something will have been done to disable the subtract solenoid action in the credit unit. There is a "sticky" on free playing a Rock-Ola that I think goes through some variations that might be in place.
