Hi everyone, my friend has recently purchased a war bird cd Jukebox which I think is NSM? It plays the first song ok but then after one track it starts to slightly hum but then the sound gets muffled / distorted and gets worse the longer it plays. I have fitted a new amp, tried one speaker at a time and have tried different speakers. I have lifted all connections and ribbons and have cleaned with contact spray. The Lazer lens has also been cleaned but sadly the problem is still there. Any suggestions on where to look next would be appreciated. Thanks..Tim

Hi didgey101,
I am not sure if I can help resp. if my thoughts will forward into a right direction. - The signal goes from the CD player to the amp to the speakers. That path shouled be checked. - The amp is part of the control centre. Maybe the fault is located in this surrounding of the amp. - If the sound is ok first but then turns bad - faulty capacitors or other parts which lose capacity or power might be the cause. They are ok for a short while but then start to be troublesome.
You resp. your friend should have a manual with schematics. If not I suggest to get one. Therefore check the ID plate of the jukebox to get the right manual. There is no "War Bird CD Jukebox" by NSM. It is a Firebird maybe.
