Hi I had my stereo amp redone on my Regis 1488 the input was damaged so he put in 2 rca inputs one left one right to replace the round plug. Would I run right line and ground one plug and left and ground to left input? Also would a varco ceramic cartridge be best fit? Thanjs

Yes that's how to wire it. It's difficult to say with ceramic cartridges because they can deteriorate with age, the only sure way is to try it.

Thanks sorry for delay in replying, for some reason I thought I should bridge the grounds at cartridge and run ground to one rca plug at amp but hums a bit.also weird there seems to be very low volume with magnetic cartridge but fine with ceramic. all so confusing lol.

The amp of Regis is setup for ceramic cartridges, not for magnetic ones. If you want to use a magnetic cartridge, then a pre-amp is needed.
