The Model 2100 service manual has a Sequence of Operation section, but that's the newest version I know about.
Unfortunately you will probably have to rely on the 2800's Functional Schematic.
I have the service manual for a 3400 Statesman in PDF format and I just found it has one too but it being newer I'm struggling to relate it to my modal 2810. Are you able to share your Model 2100 service manual has a Sequence of Operation section. It may or may not help me but I won't know unless I try I suppose.
3400 Statesman Sequence of Operation
1 - 25¢ COIN SWITCH
A) Closing the 25¢ Coin Switch energizes the 25¢ Coin Magnet, releasing the 25¢ accumulator and cancel wheels thereby allowing the cancel wheel to advance to the two credit position closing the key switch and the 25¢ credit switch
B) 25¢ CREDIT SWITCH - Closing the 25¢ CREDIT SWITCH energizes RY-8.
C) 5O¢ COIN MAGNET - 2nd quarter deposited now energizes the 50¢ COIN MAGNET.
2 - KEY SWITCH
A) Closing the KEY SWITCH energized RY-1, which is then interlocked thru contacts 12-8 of RY-1.
B) Closing the L. P. SWITCH energizes RY-4, see paragraph 3.
3 - SELECTOR SWITCH LATCH SOLENOID
Relay 1 energizes the LATCH SOLENOID. The LATCH SOLENOID CONTROL SWITCH removes a shunt from across the current limiting resistor and turns on the SELECT LAMP. Standard selection buttons will remain latched when pressed. L.P. selection buttons will remain latched when pressed provided the L.P. SWITCH Is closed.
NOTE: The L.P. selection sequence is identical to the standard selection sequence with the exception of the coin mechanism cancel and selector switch counter circuits, see paragraph 8.
4 - B-1 SELECTED
A) Selector LETTER and NUMBER SWITCHES are now closed completing the circuit to LETTER and NUMBER patches on SELECTION ACCUMULATOR CONTACT BOARD.
B) NUMBER AND LETTER LATCH SWITCHES
Closing of the LATCH SWITCHES energizes RY -2.
5 - RELAY 2
6 - SELECTION ACCUMULATOR MOTOR
RY -2 completes the circuit to the SELECTION ACCUMULATOR MOTOR. The SHAFT. and MAGNET ASSEMBLY will now rotate over selector contact board assembly approximately 180°, completing circuits to RY-3, CANCEL SOLENOID and KEYBOARD COUNTER, SELECTOR MAGNET and OVERRIDE MAGNET. RY-3 will be released at the end of the 180° rotation, breaking the circuit to the SELECTION ACCUMULATOR MOTOR.
7 - RELAY 3
When Energized
A) Set up a full cycle circuit for the SELECT' ION ACCUMULATOR MUTOR to provide 180° rotation of the SHAFT and MAGNET ARM ASSEMBLY
B) Breaks the circuit to RY -1. RY-1 releases after its capacitor discharges.
1 - KEYBOARD LATCH SELENOID now released.
2 - RY-2 now released.
C) Preparatory circuit set up to the COIN MECHANISM CANCEL SOLENOID.
1 - Credit cancelled off during rotation of the SHAFT and MAGNET ARM ASSEMBLY and circuit completed to KEYBOARD COUNTER.
8 - COIN REGISTER MECHANISM CANCEL SOLENOID AND SELECTOR SWITCH COUNTER
The COIN REGISTER MECHANISM and SELECTOR SWITCH COUNTER are energized as the SHAFT and MAGNET ARM ASSEMBLY rotates. One credit will be cancelled for a standard selection. The number of credits cancelled for an L. P. selection is determined by the placement bridging screws on the CANCEL OPTION BOARD.
9 - OVERRIDE MAGNET
The OVERRIDE MAGNET is energized during the rotation of the SHAFT and MAGNET ARM ASSEMBLY. When energized, a two tooth escapement is released closing the OVERRIDE SWITCH.
10 - The OVERRIDE SWITCH energizes the OVERRIDE RELAY.
11 - OVERRIDE RELAY
When energized
A) Completes the circuit to the TURNTABLE MOTOR.
B) Energizes the MAGAZINE LOCK SOLENOID, unlocking the RECORD MAGAZINE.
12 - MAGAZINE DRIVE MOTOR.
The MAGAZINE LOCK SOLENOID, in unlocking the RECORD SOLENOID, closes the MAGAZINE LOCK SWITCH energizing the MAGAZINE DRIVE MOTOR. The RECORD MAGAZINE and READOUT ARM ASSEMBLY scans in a clockwise direction in search of the B-1 SELECTOR LATCH PIN.
13. #1 SIDESWITCH
The #1 SIDE SWITCH, mounted on the READOUT ARM, closes as it engages the B-1 LATCH PIN, energizing the #1 SIDE RELAY. #1 SIDE RELAY interlocked.
14 - #1 SIDE RELAY
When Energized
A) Energizes the #1 SIDE SOLENOID which directs the RECORD ARM to the #1 SIDE position .
B) Energizes the MAIN CAM RELAY.
15 - MAIN CAM RELAY
When Energized
A) Releases the MAGAZINE LOCK SOLENOID, locking the RECORD MAGAZINE in B-1 position; the MAGAZINE LOCK SWITCH opens, stopping the MAGAZINE DRIVE MOTOR.
B) MAIN CAM MOTOR and BRAKE energized driving the MAIN GEAR and CAM to transfer the record from the RECORD MAGAZINE to the TURNTABLE.
16 - TRANSFER SWITCH
When actuated by the MAIN CAM and GEAR
A) Interlocks the MAIN CAM RELAY, see paragraph 14b.
B) Lights the RECORD NOW PLAYING LAMP.
17 - #1 SIDE LATCH PIN CANCEL SOLENOID
The MAIN GEAR and CAM actuates the PIN CANCEL SWITCH which cancels the 8-1 LATCH PIN.
18 - #1 SIDE RELEASE SWITCH
When actuated by the RECORD ARM
A) Removes interlock from the #1 SIDE RELAY, see paragraph 13 .
B) Energizes the RECORD NOW PLAYING INDICATOR
19 - SPEED SHIFT SOLENOID
The SPEED CHANGE SWITCH energized the SPEED SHIFT SOLENOID when a 33-1/3 rpm record is positioned on the TURNTABLE.
20 - PLAY SWITCH
The MAIN GEAR and CAM actuates the PLAY SWITCH when the RECORD CHANGER is in the play position. The PLAY SWITCH releases the MAIN CAM RELAY which stops the MAIN CAM MOTOR, see paragraph 15B.
21 - TRIP SWITCH
The TRIP SWITCH actuates as the TONE ARM reaches a predetermined position on the record. When actuated, the TRIP SWITCH energizes the MAIN CAM RELAY staring the MAIN CAM MOTOR to return the record to the RECORD MAGAZINE, see paragraph 15B.
TOP TUNES
Establishing a half dollar credit in the COIN REGISTER MECHANISM closes the KEY SWITCH and the TOP TUNES SWITCH. Pressing either the GOLD or the RED BUTTON will electrically select a predetermined group of selections. A half dollar credit will be cancelled in the COIN REGISTER MECHANISM.
1 - Closing TOP TUNES SWITCH energizes RY-23 which Is then interlocked.
2 - Pressing the RED BUTTON energizes RY-22 which energizes RY-20, both relays are interlocked when RY-21a energized, see Paragraph 3.
3 - SELECTION ACCUMULATOR MOTOR
A) RY-2 energized
B) SELECTION ACCUMULATOR MOTOR energized
C) RY-3 energized interlocking the SELECTION ACCUMULATOR MOTOR to provide 180° rotation of the SHAFT and MAGNET ARM ASSEMBLY.
4 - TOP TUNES latch pins released. The number of latch pins released is determined by the placement of bridging screws on the TOP TUNES OPTION BOARD.
5 - The COIN REGISTER MECHANISM CANCEL SOLENOID and the SELECTOR SWITCH COUNTER are energized as the SHAFT and MAGNET ARM ASSEMBLY rotates. The number of credits cancelled is determined by the placement of the bridging screws on the TOP TUNES OPTION BOARD.
