My Antique apparatus bubbler with a AMI Rowe R-91 system has been plugged in for a month but started making a loud buzzing noise even though it is shut off. The only way to stop the noise is to unplug it from the wall. Is this an amplifier, power supply or something else?

This noise issue was fixed by replacing the two 4700uf 50V filter caps in the amplifier. Cost: less than $10 for parts (5 caps) from Amazon.
While I had the tools out and three remaining caps, I also replaced the two filter caps in my R-90.
