Hi all, i have a problem with my 443 that I'm fixing up which is driving me mad. I got the mechanism working/playing fine but it would not play all the selections. I tracked the problem down to a broken switch on the selection buttons. I removed the selections buttons assembly gave them all a good clean and fixed the broken switch. When I put the selection button assembly back in the latch coil will not energise. The credit light is lit but you can't lock in a selection. I've looked through the manual (sequence 7) and tested what I can think of in the circuit to power the solenoid. The coin switches work and register a credit. the credit switches work also and I've disconnected the solenoid and separately powered it and it is OK. Also checked all fuses. The manual has a few other components in the circuit, a 15 ohm resistor, a couple of diodes, the reset button and the ADR relay contact, where are these located. Is there something simple I forgot to connect when I put it all back together.
BTW this is a UK machine and does not have the Album function, just singles, so none of that circuit is installed.
Thanks,
Phil

Hi Phil, Have you overlooked the switch which links out the 15ohm resistor until the solenoid pulls in? Or alternatively is it needing cleaned?
Norman.

Sequence 7 refers back to sequence 1 for the credit cycle explanation. Sequence 1 shows a diagram of the switch at the end of the solenoid plunger.

Hi Norman, thanks for the help, it was a wire that had fallen off the switch while cleaning. Soldered back on and the coil is pulling in again. now back to solving write in problems, but that will be another thread, maybe in a day or so if I run out of ideas on that.
Thanks again Philip
