Hi,
Main question, is it possible to remove the sensor contact block to check the contacts, without removing the "frog"? Someone told me it clips on? I have a service manual. I already checked the alignment and the tension. It seems to be intermittent between the spring contact below, the white button contact with the small silver contact. A pin will be be selected, and 98% of the time the changer just scans by. If I manually trip a record, the trip solenoid works at the end of the record.
Background:
This M100BL came to me after someone else replaced the motor capacitor and it played for a while until it let the smoke out. I found 30 amp fuses and a melted and open R7 resistor on the credit unit. I replaced the resistor. Then the selector solenoid would hold and select a record and play it, but not reset the pin. The next night it would just scan and not play. I found that contact IC was not closing and adjusted it.

No, on a M100B the contact block is hard wired.
You can remove the pin bank (and slide it off of the contact block) for better access.
Also check the mechanism's 'W' contact, found on the 'Clutch and Reset Lever Switch'.
If this contact is not making properly, it can cause the mechanism not to pick up.
BTW, 'contact block' is the correct terminology. You won't find the term 'frog' in any Seeburg documentation.

W is fine. That is where I was connecting the powered test light. I removed the Pinbank, and will post an update soon.

I presented the option of installing a Victory Glass Solid State Pinbank Memory Unit to the customer and he green lighted it. I am still cleaning up areas and lubricating the record changer while having extra access with the Pinbank removed.
