Rockola 454 write in issues

Hi. I’ve had my 454 for over 30 years and had thousands of hours of fun with it.However recently it’s developed the following issue. When I make a selection the write in arm moves to the correct pin, however the solenoid fires but doesn't set the pin down. The read out then spins but can’t find the selection. If I manually set the pin down the read out finds it and the record plays. Any suggestions? Thanks

I would start by cleaning the pcb tracks on both sides of the selector unit and make sure contacts are firmly touching. Left side it your write in.
That's where the coil gets it power
