Working on a R82 that the magazine motor runs continuously BuT the led says TRANSFER MOTOR . Isn't the transfer motor the gripper arm?

AFter cleaning the service switch, it now rotates a while and stops as it should. While turning the leds for data and clock and readout at coin slot flash as encoder spins. Is this normal when the service switch is first turned on?
