1015 OMT Vinyl acquisition - missing key - transport etc

Hi! New member here, excited to have found this group. We are acquiring the 1015 OneMoreTime Vinyl that my wife grew up with. Just got here last night and saw the jukebox for the first time.

Its going to need some work.... it has been moved houses multiple times by movers,including cross country. I know that the transport support bolts were not used, and also nowhere to be found. Was last "serviced/repaired" approximately 2007 prior to its last cross country move.

I will go get more transport bolts, found the size in the FAQ, to prepare for its next transport home with us Friday at 1,350 miles.

The key is missing and the lock cylinder has been removed.
I'm not sure how to get the door open to further assess, so my two helps needed are:

Does anyone have insight how to get the door open? Should it just pull? It feels latched.

Once I get it open is there any specific damage potentials that I should be looking for?

I found a diagram for the release lever, will see if I can reach something through the key hole and actuate the lever while relieving pressure on the door and report back.

Got the door open, and found the transport bolts are in fact installed, I'm guessing its possible they were never removed from new and have slowly been backing out over the last 30 years.

Will continue to update, potentially with questions over the next couple days!

Made it home without any issues, will get it into the house, lubed up, and see if it works at all...
