Hi all, I am hoping someone with more knowledge can help me out. I have a Wurlitzer 5220 wallbox. It looks as though the previous owner already made a freeplay adjustment as a switch is soldered across on the playrak, although I have read you can remove the playrack and just add a jumper to the 2nd row between pin 6&7. The wallbox does not advance to the credit position, I've tried adding credit to the playrak wheel and also removing and using the jumper. If I manually turn the wiper to the credit position, the credit lights come on, I can make a selection and it goes back to the non credit position. There has been a wire added from the coin switch to the top ten button (white in the video) Next to this on the top ten button is a wire not connected, if I connect it it seems to send power to relay RY103 and the wiper goes around indefinitely, with it connected there is 1 single pulse per rotation, I have added an LED as per another post in this forum on how to test the pulses. I have tried new relays. The relay in the speakers allows sound through for a split second per rotation only. So I'm thinking something is stopping power to put the wiper in the credit position and also stopping the pulse train, but I'm not sure where to start looking. I have a copy of the schematic and have added a youtube video here: www.youtube.com/shorts/_OYN81SBUbMCan anyone offer me some advice please. Many thanks Phil

I don't have a 5220 manual so can only offer general guidance and it looks like you have more than one fault. I think there will be a credit switch that should advance the wiper from the home to the credit position, you should be able to find it on the schematic, it should complete a circuit to the motor to move it that little bit. Secondly, if you are getting only one pulse, either the pushbuttons require cleaning or maybe the rivets on the contact plate. There are two circuits through the pushbuttons, again see the schematic - if there are issues with the A and 1 "made" contacts, that will prevent any other letters or numbers from working. Making selection V0 should generate maximum pulses. I think the letter pulses come first, then a short gap followed by the number pulses but that is easily figured out with the aid of the manual.

Norman. Thanks Norman, I will try and look deeper into the wiring of the credit switch, I have removed and bypassed to try and have the same fault. I'll take another look at the manual and see if I can figure out where the issue is. Thanks for the response.
