Just going through my parents stuff and found the old family jukebox. I plugged it in and lights came on, made a selection and the arm moved back and forth I think 2 times. Problem is it didn't pick up a record. Anyone have any thoughts to why? I read a thread that seemed similar but wasn't entirely sure it was the same. I have some good memories of this and don't feel like putting it to the curb. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

I am not sure if I understood right what the jukebox did after getting plugged in. Lights came on ok. You made a selection, e.g. A3. The carriage travelled to the position of A3 and stopped. Right so far? What do you mean with "the arm moved back and forth"? Did by any chance you also find a service manual for your 222 (aka Channel)? If not I would recommend to get one. It describes the function well to understand the sequences better. If you're ,ocated in US you can get it at www.victoryglass.com or www.alwaysjukin.com

Just received the manual. Sorry I meant to say it scans twice and doesn't pick up a record. I can force it to play by manual engaging it. Cleaned up all the contact switches per Ron Rich instructions. Finally, found a wire that looked like dental floss hanging off the switch that contacts the rivets. Believe it is referred to as a frog arm??? Resoldered it but still not picking up
