Hi,
First time here... well, better than that, first time jukebox owner. I managed to get an almost fully working W2400s at a steal and I've fixed everything except one issue. Fixes probably don't amount to much, but included back stop pawl cleaning and adjustment, new stylus, replacement belt, oiling the turntable motor and replacing the filter glass... so I'm getting into it.
However, one thing has me stumpted. The nylon guide tips on the end of the lift arms need new springs. Well, they need springs. Don't ask, but they currently don't have any so pickups are a bit hit-and-miss at the moment. I've been trying to work out how to get to the lift arms - in their resting position they're below the carousel but above the mounting plate (not sure the proper name for that) and in the lifted position they're behind the turntable shield.
Can anyone advise me - is there a safe way to get to them that doesn't involve removing the entire carousel?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, you make a selection at an empty slot then flip the service switch level to stop the mech motor at some convenient point as the arm lfts. The service lever in under the front of the mech deck. Otherwise, just pull the plug.
I suggest placing a "bib" using a towel or similar cloth to catch any small parts that get dropped. Preferable to hunting for them in/under the carousel.

I agree 99% with Rob, However I think he made one slight error above. He states to use a bib--to catch any small parts -- he should have stated -- "---to catch the small parts that you WILL, drop---" Ron Rich

Thanks guys, the bib idea is great... I wish I had chosen a better/bigger one as the stop catch disappeared into the machine and I'm unable to find it again... now the guide tips on the right side just spring too far open and snag on the carousel, so I've had to order a replacement part. No B-sides in the meantime.
I've hunted high and low, in the mechanism, around the bottom of the machine... it just vanished. My best guess is that it's under the coin collector, but I'm a bit nervous about taking the machine to pieces to look for it in case it stops working when I put it back together. Something I'll try later when I'm a little more confident I'll be able to put it back together successfully!
